About CCTV
A CCTV or Closed Circuit Television is one of the most effective prevention barriers towards crime and to enhance security and monitoring services. It provides coverage and surveillance that would not be possible if relied solely on human manpower. In recent years, CCTV systems have evolved from large, bulky analogue systems that is expensive to affordable digital systems that is compact and in high resolution.
A typical CCTV System consists of a few components that include Cameras, Digital Video Recorder, Motion Sensors, Microphones, Relay Outputs, Monitoring System and many more modular add-ons.
One of the most important component has to be the camera as this is the “eye” of the whole surveillance system. Cameras have a multitude of functions and can be configured to record images even in the dark or rotate for a wider view.
